Elevating Holistic Cancer Care

At Align Total Wellness, we believe that healing is never one-dimensional. It flows through the physical body, yes—but also through the spirit and the soul.

That belief is what led me, years ago, into therapeutic massage. It’s also what called me, more recently, to expand my practice in a direction that feels both deeply personal and powerfully purposeful: Oncology Massage.

I’m honored to share that I am now a Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) Recognized Practitioner, joining a network of professionals dedicated to providing safe, skilled, and compassionate massage therapy for those navigating cancer.

Why Oncology Massage Matters

Receiving a cancer diagnosis reshapes every part of a person’s life. The treatment journey is often physically taxing, emotionally overwhelming, and spiritually disorienting. Clients face long hours in hospitals, invasive procedures, and the unknowns that come with each new phase of care.

During this time, the power of intentional touch becomes even more essential.

Oncology Massage is not about deep pressure or complex techniques—it’s about presence, safety, and gentle support. It is specifically designed to adapt to the changing needs of clients in treatment, post-treatment, or palliative care. Each session is personalized, taking into account:

  • The type and stage of cancer

  • Ongoing treatments (such as chemotherapy or radiation)

  • Medical devices (ports, catheters, surgical sites)

  • Blood counts, lymph node involvement, bone fragility, and fatigue

Through Oncology Massage, we may:

  • Reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia

  • Relieve nausea, neuropathy, and pain

  • Improve circulation and immune support

  • Provide emotional comfort and a renewed sense of calm

  • Support the body’s own healing capacity

A Niche Service at Align Total Wellness

At Align Total Wellness, Oncology Massage is not simply a menu item. It is a niche service—one that reflects our mission to walk alongside clients with compassion and clarity through all seasons of life, including their most vulnerable ones.

Our approach integrates:

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) when appropriate, to support the body’s detoxification process during or after chemotherapy or surgery.

  • Pure Essential Oils—applied with care and only when safe—to create a calming aromatic environment.

  • Carrier Oils like Jojoba and Fractionated Coconut, chosen for their skin-nourishing properties, especially important during times of heightened skin sensitivity.

  • Trauma Informed Touch, respecting personal boundaries, energy levels, and emotional states.

This work is sacred. And every client who trusts us during their healing journey is treated with honor and gentleness.

A Call to Collaborate with Oncology Providers

I believe deeply in the power of collaborative care. That’s why I’m extending an open invitation to:

  • Oncologists

  • Nurse Navigators

  • Hospice and Palliative Care Teams

  • Infusion Center Coordinators

  • Cancer Survivorship Programs

If you are a healthcare professional seeking to refer your patients to complementary therapies that prioritize both safety and sensitivity, let’s connect.

Together, we can co-create a circle of care where your patients feel held—not just medically, but emotionally and spiritually too.

Aligning for Wholeness

This certification is not just another credential—it’s a commitment. A commitment to showing up, gently and expertly, for those who are fighting, surviving, or transitioning. It’s my way of aligning my purpose with the real, pressing needs in our community.

I am grateful to serve in this way, and I invite you to walk alongside me.

If you’d like to refer a client, collaborate as a provider, or simply learn more, I would love to hear from you.
